I’ve come to appreciate not only its natural beauty and open spaces, but also the strong sense of community that makes this county such a special place to live. Originally from Philadelphia, my career and life experiences have taken me across the country — from Miami and Las Vegas to San Francisco, Kansas City, and Troy, Michigan — before returning to the East Coast. Living and working in so many different places has given me a deep understanding of both the differences and the common threads that connect us as people and as a nation.
For decades, I thrived in the demanding retail industry, serving as a store manager for iconic companies such as Bonwit Teller, Emporium/Broadway Stores, Sears, Jacobson’s, and Burlington. I was directly accountable for monthly operating statements and annual results — and in the business world, there’s no hiding from the bottom line. Success demanded strong financial oversight, operational excellence, and the ability to adapt in a rapidly changing industry.
Throughout my career, I championed diversity, inclusivity, and teamwork — not as buzzwords, but as the foundation of lasting success. I know that real leadership means more than making decisions; it’s about inspiring people, navigating change with clarity, and achieving goals together. These experiences shaped me into a leader who understands that results matter, accountability is non-negotiable, and no challenge is too big when we face it as a team.
